Ambode Blow Hot, Says Sanwo-Olu Was Arrested For Spending Fake Dollars

There are strong indications that Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has been pushed to the wall as far as the battle for the All Progressives Congress (APC), governorship ticket in Lagos state is concerned.

He had been under pressure for weeks not to seek re-election as Lagos state governor following the emergence of an APC aspirant, Mr Jide Sanwo-Olu. Naija News understands that Mr Sanwo-Olu has the backing of APC leader, Chief Bola Tinubu, he has also been endorsed by the state Governorship Advisory Council (GAC).

Ambode Deviated From The Lagos Master Plan, He Has To Go – Tinubu

The National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC)Asiwajo Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accused Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of deviating from the Lagos Master Plan initiated by his predecessors, insisting that he must be replaced.

The National Leader, who insisted that the incumbent has failed to live up to the expectation of the party, stated that Monday’s primary will reposition the state for better performance.

Party primaries: NANS disassociate itself from Babajide Sanwo-Olu

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has disassociated itself from the purported report of endorsing Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State in 2019.
The party shifted its governorship primary election to Monday.

The association made its position known following a report that a coalition of youth associations and student groups, under the auspices of Sanwo-Olu Youths and Students’ Campaign Organisation. on Saturday expressed support for the aspirant.

Kwara PDP primary ends in commotion as delegates exchange blows

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Kwara state today was cancelled as a result of a clash between supporters of the two leading contenders.

An alleged clashed between loyalists of Bolaji Abdullahi and Razak Atunwa, two top aspirants, reportedly led to the cancellation of the exercise.
