The quest of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and it candidate in the Osun Election, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola to lay claim to mandate of the people have being boosted by the declaration of support by no fewer the 20 political parties for the APC, as the rerun of the election hold on Thursday.

The parties under the umbrella of Alliance for Cooperating Political Parties (ACPP), in a press conference, in Osogbo on Wednesday, through its leader, Prince Adesoji Masilo, said the coalition threw its weight behind the candidature of Oyetola because of his intelligence and character.

ACPP comprises of Advanced Democratic Congress, the National Conscience Party, People for Democratic Change, among others.

According to Masilo, his party, African People’s Alliance, which polled over 2,000 votes at the last Saturday’s governorship poll in the state, and other over twenty political party have decided to pitch their tent with the APC, because of the progressive ideology of the party.

While Masilo admonished members of the coalition to troop out on Thursday to cast their votes for the APC, he also admonished politicians to desist from vote buying, as he decried the menace of vote buying that characterised last Saturday’s governorship election.
