#OsunDecides2018: Living Faith Church Speaks On Election

In respect to the ongoing governorship election in Osun State, the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, in Osogbo, the state capital, has reacted to the issue about vote-buying.

Dapo Olumuyiwa, the resident pastor of the church in Osogbo, on Friday, directed the church members in prayer, that the lord would help Independent National Electoral Commission, and the security operatives to be fair to all parties in the election.

He used the opportunity to call out registered voters to exercise their civic right in a peaceful manner and not to sell their votes in the governorship election.

The pastor stated that the wrath of God would descend upon any one who perpetrates in electoral frauds.

He said, “The Lord will disappoint those who think they can buy votes, their money will fail them.

“Those who want to use their positions to subvert the will of the people will also be disappointed.

The cleric man claimed that some people have being giving out N5,000 to prospective voters and forcing them to swear to an oath that they would vote for them.

He stated the step is devilish and prayed that the lord would cancel the oath so that the people would have the courage to vote for their candidate base on their conscience.

He quoted from The Bible, Isaiah 8:9-10, which read, “Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
