2019: Ex CBN Deputy Governor, Obadiah Mailafia Joins Presidency Race
Ahead of the 2019 general election, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has submitted his intention and nomination forms to run for Presidency at the office of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The National Coordinator of ADC, Electoral Matters and INEC Liaison, Anayo Arinze, on Thursday in Abuja, revealed that Obadiah indicated to contest for President in the 2019 elections.
Buhari Re-Appoints Amaechi As His Campaign DG For 2019
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the Secretary/Director-General of campaign organisation for his re-election in 2019.
The appointment of the Former Governor of Rivers State was made known in a press statement made available to the media by the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, has explained that he left the All Progressives Congress (APC) because the party was not committed to keeping the promise it made to Nigerians at both state and federal levels.
