Before He Arrived, I Didn’t Like Him - Lacazette Opens Up On Relationship With Aubameyang

Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, after his side’s 4-2 win over Vorskla on Thursday, has set his target for the Europa League final, he scored twice for his team on Thursday night.

The Europa game against Vorskla was Aubameyang’s first European appearance for the Gunners after joining the side from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

Arsenal had reached the semi-finals of last season’s competition, but were defeated by the eventual winners, Atletico Madrid.

Speaking after the game at the Emirates, Aubameyang made it clear he is looking to go one better this season.

“We want to go to the final of course.

“I didn’t play the Europa League last year with the guys so I am really happy to be back in this competition.

“It’s good to start with a win, and the next game will be important also.

“I think we played well in the first half and in the beginning of the second as well. We have to improve and try to fight not to concede a goal like we did in the last minute.”

“But I hope we can do well in the next few games. We know the Premier League is long. We have to win these games straight away and perform quickly. It is good to start with a win,” he said.
