The Senator representing Plateau Central in the National Assembly, Joshua Dariye, has submitted his APC nomination form to re-contest in 2019.
Dariye is however, currently serving a 14-year jail term over financial mismanagement of state funds while serving as Plateau governor, Naija News recalls.

Kwara Pensioners Threaten To Boycott 2019 Elections Over Unpaid Pensions, Gratuities
Armed with placards with different inscription and with threats that they will boycott the 2019 general elections, Hundreds of pensioners in Kwara State on Tuesday embarked on a peaceful protest in Ilorin against the non payment of over N50 billion pensions and gratuities by the state government.
The pensioners, who including those from the 16 local government areas of the state and primary school teachers, gathered in front of the State Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), located in the Commissioners’ Lodge Way, Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Ilorin.

Lai Mohammed Obeys Court Order, Reinstates Yushau Shuaib
After five years of protracted legal battle between the federal Government and Yushau Shuaib, Chief Information Officer at the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed’s Ministry has finally obeyed the National Industrial Court order to reinstate the embattled civil servant.
In a letter of reinstatement with reference no. FMIC/LEG/307/VOL.1/122 addressed to Mr. Yushau Shuaib and signed by the Director of Human Resources Management, Mr. S.U. Ewa on behalf of the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Shuaib was informed of the Minister’s directive to reinstate him into the civil service as Chief Information Officer on GL14 with immediate effect.
