Champions League: Michael Owen Predicts The Team That Will Win This Season’s Trophy

Former Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen, has predicted the club that will win the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League trophy.

According to the football legend, he claimed that either Liverpool or Manchester City will win the Champions League this season.

Owen further stated that the English teams are “here to stay” in the biggest European competition.

Liverpool defeated Paris Saint Germain 3-2 in their Champions League opening match on Tuesday, Naija News recalls.

“They [Liverpool] are tailor-made for Europe, playing brilliant in the Premier League,” Owen said told BT Sport.

“I am sure they are going to win a trophy this year.

“Our (England’s) teams are really at it,” Owen said, adding that “I really fancy two teams this year, either Manchester City or Liverpool to win the Champions League.

“I really think it’s going to be an English team. I think we (English teams) will be here to stay for a long period of time as well.“
