15 Years Old Boy Drowns In Kano pond

Mohammed Basa, a 15-year-old boy, has drowned while bathing in a pond at Kuka Bulukiya Community in the Dala Local Government Area of Kano State.

Mr Saidu Mohammed, the Spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, made this known to news men in an interview in Kano on Monday.

He stated that the incident took place on Sunday, when the deceased along side his friends when to the pond to bath.

“We received a distress call from one Malam Auwalu Dala at about 12:40 p.m. that Basa’s body was found floating on a pond.

“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene at about 12:58 p.m.

“Basa was found dead and his corpse was later handed over to the police.’’

Naija News understands that the spokesman admonished parents to prevail on their children and wards to stay away from water bodies to prevent harm coming to them. (NAN)
