Apple unveils iPhone Xs, Xs Max and Xr and the new Apple Watch

The leaks were not wrong. Apple unveiled September 12 three new models of iPhone, as well as an Apple Watch. By cons, no new AirPods or AirPower.

The keynote started with a touch of humor. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, publishes a tweet that seems intended for his teams: ” Who can bring me quickly!”. At the same time, on the screen of Steve Jobs Theater, an actress runs with a metal briefcase under the music of Mission Impossible. She joins the boss of Apple behind the scenes. He takes out the remote control with which he arrives on stage to launch the show.

This scene will be the only surprise because Tim Cook reveals in detail what has leaked in the afternoon. He first reveals the new Apple Watch . This series 4 has a screen 30% larger than the previous model. The main button of the watch is circled in vermeil more elegant than the red button of the old generation. The processor is twice as fast.

Series 4 still analyzes heart rate as effectively, but now it sends a notification if the heart is racing or slowing down excessively. This new model will be available on September 21st in about twenty countries, including France, from 429 euros (529 euros for the GPS Cellular version).

Three iPhone X, but no AirPods

Place to the iPhone. As the leaks predicted, the X series (pronounced 10) comes in three versions: Xs in 5.8 inches (from 1159 euros), Xs Max in 6.5 inches (from 1259 euros) and Xr in 6.1 inches (from 850 euros). The good news is that the rumors were not wrong. Both Xs are models of innovation. “These are the best iPhone that we have ever presented,” said Tim Cook in unveiling. One detail had not leaked: they have a dual SIM for Asian customers.

The Xr is the entry level of the X series. Declined in six colors (black, blue, white, yellow, coral, gray, a red version), it seems destined for those who must catch up in terms of technology – who have not changed the iPhone for a long time.
