Breaking News: Dogara Decamp To PDP, Pick Nomination Form

Speaker Yakubu Dogara has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), He also picked the nomination form to return to the House of Representatives on the platform of the opposition party Naija News understands.

The speaker picked the form on Wednesday, a day after dozens of his constituents traveled to Abuja from his home state of Bauchi.

Dogara’s decision to decamp his coming barely 24 hours after he declared that he was seeking re-election for Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency seat of the House of Representatives.

During a rally organised by his constituent, Dogara stated that he was seeking re-election as a result of a call from the people he represents in the National Assembly, “Because you came, because of your sacrifice, I want to announce to you that I will run to once again represent our constituency. I will soon come to meet you at home to make this formal” He said.

Mr Dogara has apparently now chosen to leave the rulling All Progressives Congress as he had not been in good terms with his state governor Mohammed Abubakar.
