Arsenal Gets Torreira Injury Boost

Ahead of Arsenal’s Saturday match against Newcastle, Lucas Torreira, has been reported back fully in training after an injury scare on international duty with Uruguay.

Torreira was substituted at half-time in their clash against Mexico and was spotted with an ice pack on his calf during the second half.

He is yet to start for the Gunners since the start if this season, though some supporters have been demanding for him to be placed in the starting line up.

Emery confirmed Torreira is back in contention for Saturday’s trip to Newcastle after tweeting a photo from a training session at London Colney on Tuesday.

“Focused on our improvement @Arsenal, focused on @NUFC,” Emery tweets.

Newcastle have recorded just one point from their first four Premier League matches and have just one win from their last 11 matches against the Gunners at St James’ Park.

The Gunners have won two and lost two of Emery’s first four matches since his appointment as the head coach.
