The Libya Football Federation has confirmed that their senior national team, will host Nigeria at a yet to be named venue in Algeria, in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Match Day 4 clash on October 13.

Adel Al-Khumisi, the managing director of the Libyan national team, who revealed the decision of the football federation in a press statement on Monday, stated that the team will not play any friendlies before the match.

Libya currently occupy top spot in Group E after a win and draw, in their opening two games against Seychelles and South Africa.

Their next game is an away fixture against third placed Nigeria on October 10 with the reverse fixture to take place three days later in Algeria.

Libya have played their home games at neutral venues over the last five years, because of a FIFA ban imposed on the country after the civil war of 2011.

They played their first game of the qualifiers at the Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo, where they defeated Seychelles 5-1.

Naija News recalls the Super Eagles won their game against Seychelles by 3-0, bouncing back from their shock loss against South Africa in their first game.
