Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for an alleged contract scam Punch Reports.

The Ekiti State Government has refuted allegation that outgoing Ayodele Fayose‘s government has indebted the state through bonds and commercial loans as alleged by the governor elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

National Assembly May Suspend Resumption Till October

Members of the National Assembly have called for a postponement of  their resumption earlier stipulated for Setember 25.

The lawmakers, who spoke with Punch, called on the leadership of both chambers to extend their resumption from stipulated date to the second week of October.

Presidency Speaks On Corruption Allegation Against Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Kyari

The Presidency has reacted to allegation that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, was involved in a fraud worth N29 million so as to award a contract.

Garba Shehu who is presidential spokesman denied the claim that Kyari held private meetings with the person making those allegations.

The presidency on Saturday released a statement criticising one of Nigeria’s leading newspapers, Punch over a publication reporting an alleged involvement President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, in a N29 million bribe scandal.

Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman in a statement on Saturday stated that the presidency took offence with the Newspaper publication which he described as improbable and outlandish.
