Boko Haram Launches Another Attack On Army Formation

The dreaded Boko Haram group have reportedly launched another attack on a military base in Baga, Kukawa LGA of Borno state.

The fresh attack is coming barely twenty-four hours after Boko Haram insurgents attacked Gudumbali area, a town in the Guzamala local government area of Borno.

According to information gathered by Naija News, the insurgents launched a fresh attack on Sunday on the military base in Baga, Kukawa LGA, after the attack on Gudumbali, on Saturday.

Ahmad Salkida, an independent investigator familiar with the Lake Chad and Boko Haram crisis, who tweeted the incident said the number of casualties on both sides is yet to be ascertained.

He disclosed that the Boko Haram group, used the opportunity of focus on Gudumbali to launch another attack on another military facility in Baga, Kukawa, on the shores of the Lake Chad.

Brig.-Gen. Texas Chukwu, Army director public relations, earlier confirmed the attack on Gudumbali. He said troops of Sector 3 Operation Lafiya Dole deployed at Gudumbali, Guzamala LGA also inflicted overwhelming casualty on the terrorists due to superior fire power while some of the terrorists fled to the fringes of Lake Chad.

Chukwu said the gallant troops repelled the insurgents who came to extort and terrorise law abiding citizens.
