Breaking News: South Sudan Aircraft Crashes Into Lake, Killing 17 Persons

A commercial plane from Juba, the capital, crashed Sunday in a lake in South Sudan. 17 people on board died in the accident and three passengers survived, including a 6 year old child. The causes of the drama remain for the moment to be determined.

The small plane carrying passengers from Juba International Airport to Yirol City crashed on Sunday (September 9th) in South Sudan , reports the Associated Press (AP) referring to local officials.

The aircraft was carrying 22 people, 17 of whom died as a result of the accident. Among the three survivors, a 6 year old child, a man of adult age and a European currently hospitalized in a critical condition. Two people are still missing.

The causes of the accident are for the moment unknown.
