Murray Bruce, Konbowei Benson, Others Pick NASS Nomination Forms

The Senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray Bruce, the Speaker, Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Konbowei Benson, member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency, Douye Diri, have picked the National Assembly nomination forms under the Peoples Democratic Party.

Other aspirants, who have picked their forms under the platform of the PDP for the NASS positions are George Turnah, godson of former President Goodluck Jonathan; Senator Nimi Barigha-Amange; member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor in House of Representatives, Fred Agbedi; former Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Steve Azaiki and former President, Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Udengs Eradiri.

Also, current Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Lawrence Ewhrujakpor, has picked nomination form for the National Assembly.

Further report has it that Konbowei Benson, is aspiring to represent Southern Ijaw in the House of Rep, while Murray Bruce, who is currently in the Senate is planning to return to the Senate, and the only challenger to Bruce desire seems to be Barigha Amange.

Ewhrujakpor is aspiring to represent Bayelsa West, the senatorial district of Governor Seriake Dickson. The district is currently occupied by Senator Foster Ogola.

As of the time of this report, Ogola had yet to pick his nomination form.

In the case of Douye Diri, he picked a nomination form to represent Bayelsa Central, currently represented by Senator Emmanuel Paulker. It has yet to be ascertained if Paulker, who has represented the district for three terms is staging a comeback.
