Ambode Alleged To Be Discussing His Political Future In The Meeting

The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has been reported to be in an emergency closed-door meeting with his commissioners and aides over his political future in the All Progressives Congress, ahead of the party’s primaries.

According to Daily Post, the governor has been in discussion with key stakeholders of his cabinet following reports of a decision by National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is seen as the “godfather” in the state to withdraw support for his second term bid.

Further report has it that the Governor is thinking of a last minute defection to the Peoples Democratic Party, or the Action Democratic Congress, both of which are part of the Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP.
