Netflix Accused Of Airing Pornographic Content

An association for the prevention of children porn is revolted by Desire, Diego Kaplan’s film, which shows little girls indulging in what looks like sexual games.

The Netflix platform is under the spotlight of American family associations. A scene of Desire or Desearas is pointed out by a group of parents. The controversial scene shows a 9-year-old girl watching a cowboy movie by John Ford. Filmed in slow motion, she jumps astride a pillow like a rider and her face seems to show a real jubilation. Close-ups are used to ride the panting girl. The scene closes on accidental orgasm.

A media advocacy organization called The Parents Television Council (PTC) has sent an open letter to Netflix Chief Executive Reed Hastings. Claiming “a safe and healthy media landscape for children and families,” the association’s representatives ask Netflix “to immediately remove all pornographic content such as Desire .” In addition, it is Netflix’s commitment to adopt family-friendly guidelines and content controls. ”

Director Diego Kaplan explained and defended himself to IndiWire. “Of course, this scene was filmed using something, that the girls were copying a cowboy scene from a John Ford movie,” he explains.
