Ebenezer Alabi Plan To Defect From The Mega Party Of Nigeria For PDP

Alabi Revealed That He Is Joining PDP Because Of Clamour From His Supporters

There has been report that Ebenezer Alabi, who happens to be the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, could return to the party after years of been away from PDP.

Alabi, an ally to the former National Chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, had left the party with his supporters after the Supreme court verdict recognised Ahmed Makarfi as the authentic chairman of the party.

After his defection he joined the Mega Progressives Peoples Party, which later changed into the Mega Party of Nigeria

Further news has it that the ex PDP chairman in Ondo State, had met with some of his political associates,friends and supporters, on his plan to defect from MPN to PDP.

Some of his close associates, who preferred anonymity, stated that Alabi, will soon make his move to PDP official.

“Mr. Alabi has held lots of meetings with the leaders of the PDP in the state and they have agreed to welcome him back home because he has always been one of them and as a grassroots politician for that matter.

“So, he is already tired of the happenings in the Mega Party of Nigeria (MPN) and has concluded the plans to return to his old party, the PDP in the state with many of his supporters championing the go ahead,” the associates said.

Alabi, according to Daily Post stated that he is leaving the Mega Party of Nigeria for the Peoples Democratic Party, due to series of pressure from his supporters to leave the party.

“It is very correct, I have met with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) even in the state and I am on my way back to the party.

“So, I am even waiting for them [leaders of the party] now to agree on a date and make it officially known,” he said.
