Saraki Claims Tinubu Is Supporting The President Because Of His Presidential Ambition

The ruling All Progressive Congress, has reacted to the statement released by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, that Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the party’s National Leader, was supporting President Muhammadu Buhari in order to take over as president in 2023.

Recall that Naija News had reported that Saraki in a statement revealed that Tinubu was supporting Buhari’s re-election with the expectation of becoming President in 2023.

Saraki was said to have claimed that the former Lagos State Governor told him he would support the President even if he was on a stretcher.

Saraki had reacted to the statement of Tinubu on Sunday, alleging that he (Saraki) left APC because of his presidential ambition and his selfish interest.

Yekini Nabena, the acting National Publicity Secretary of APC, in an interview with Punch, stated that it was premature to talk about 2023 presidency.

He also said that Tinubu’s presidential ambition had not been communicated to the party.

Nabena said, “This (Tinubu’s ambition) has not been communicated to the party, so I cannot comment on it.

“Besides, why should anybody be talking about 2023 when we are in 2018? Is anybody God?
