Saraki Attacks Presidency, Says Late Submission Of INEC’s Budget, Lack Of Foresight

Bukola Saraki, the Senate President, on Sunday, attacked the Presidency stating that the late submission of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s budget for the 2019 general election is due to lack of foresight.

Saraki who released a statement through his Special Adviser on New Media, Olu Onemola, blasted the President Muhammadu Buhari Media Organisation for blaming him of slowing down the approval of INEC’s budget.

Today, the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, replied Aiswaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a 12-paragraph statement titled “The Tinubu Rhetoric: My Response,” Saraki revealed that Tinubu has expressed strong reservations about the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government; and has demonstrated certain inconsistencies “when one reviews his antecedents over the years.”

Godswill Akpabio, former Senate Minority Leader, has revealed that he regrets imposing Udom Emmanuel, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, on the people of the state.

While Apologising before a crowd at Ikot Ekpene Plaza, after returning from his mother-in-law’s burial at Enugu on Sunday, he stated that Emmanuel was the greatest mistake he made in a hurry and used the opportunity to ask for the peoples forgiveness.

In respect to the news making round about the plan to impeach the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who had defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party, some members of the House of Representatives have stated that some of their colleagues in the party are against the move of Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the party to effect the impeachment.

Boko Haram ‘Kills 63 People’ In Borno State

Boko Haram insurgents reportedly killed at least 63 persons in early hours of Sunday in Mailari, Borno state

An aid worker at Monguno camp who received survivors, told Reuters that the death toll was 63. According to him hundreds of people from villages in the area had fled to the camp for displaced people where he worked, in Monguno.
