Buhari’s Government Not Interested in Sharing Money – Minister

Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture has said that the priority of President Muhammadu Buhari administration is to provide the basic needs of Nigerians, not to share money.

The Minister said that the federal government is interested in investing in the infrastructural facilities  that would impart the economic positively than sharing money to people and political stooges like the previous administration did.

Offa Robbery: Saraki Is Still Under Investigation – IGP, Malami

The attorney-general of the federation, Abubakar Malami, and IGP Ibrahim Idris, have maintained that Senate President Bukola Saraki has not been cleared of his alleged involvement in the bloody Offa bank robbery.

Malami and Idris, made the submission in reaction to widespread insinuations that the interim report of the director of public prosecution (DPP) exonerated Saraki of any role in the robbery incident.

2019 Elections Will Not Be Prosponed – INEC Chairman Assures

Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has assured that the 2019 General Election will not be postponed.

The commission is currently out of fund as virement for its preparation for the elections are still in the National Assembly.

ASUU Threatens To Strike Over The Neglect Of LAUTECH

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened, on Friday, to embark on industrial actions over the lackadaisical attitude of Osun and Oyo states government with regards with the running of the troubled Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, which they share ownership of.

The union insist that the unpalatable treatment of its members, who they say are being owned 10 months salary by the states government of Osun and Oyo would result in the initiation of a nationwide industrial action by the union.

INEC Defends 2019 Election Budget Before Joint National Assembly Committee

Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is currently leading other officials in defending the commission’s budget for the 2019 general elections in the country.

Prof. Yakubu and his team of Commissioners are before the Joint National Assembly committee on INEC and Electoral and Political parties matters for the second time.
