Here’s What Atiku Said About Abuja Collapsed Building

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar released a stament about the building that collapsed at Jabi, Abuja, killing two people.

Naija News broke the news yesterday that a four-storey building collapsed in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, resulting in the death of two persons.

Several persons are reportedly still trapped under the rubbles as men of National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, the Nigeria Police and other security agencies have been mobilized to the scene for rescue operations.

According to an eyewitness account, the building collapsed because it was built with substandard materials.

Atiku, took to his Twitter page, to commiserate with the victims of the incident.

The former Vice President wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with families of all those affected by the tragedy of the collapsed building in Jabi area of Abuja. May they be comforted.”

Meanwhile, Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has visited the scene of the accident describind the incident as very unfortunate.
