Saraki Explains Why He Visited Obasanjo

The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki has explained the purpose of his closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

While addressing the press after the meeting on Monday evening, Saraki explained that he was with Obasanjo to make up for his absence during the formal inauguration of the Presidential library held last year.

Saraki, said: “You know I missed the official opening of the library and that is why I have decided to come and see the place and honestly it is beautiful we are very proud of what he has done here”.

When he was probed further on the crisis in the National Assembly and when the lawmakers will reconvene, Saraki kept mum and hurriedly entered his vehicle.

Naija News recalls the embattled senate president had last week also met with former military ruler, Ibrahim Babangida, in the latter’s home in Minna, Niger State.
