Alisson’s hiring and failures since last season seem to have undermined and directed the end, at least momentarily, of Karius’s move to Liverpool’s goal. That’s because, down since the final of the Champions League last season, the German goalkeeper can be involved in a negotiation and exchange the Reds for Besiktas.

According to The Sun newspaper , there is an ongoing negotiation for the goalkeeper to switch English football for the Turkish, but it must be signed with the loan of a season, since Karius is well-liked within Liverpool by the technical commission, who understands that a change of air is necessary for the gain of rhythm and experience after the successive errors.

The German, by the way, was even the first option of Besiktas, who tried before contracting another archer of the Reds. Considered the third on Klopp’s list, Belgian Mignolet was looked for by fourth place in the Turkish Championship last season, but the high values of the negotiation undermined any possibility. In this way, Karius appeared as an alternative, but with impositions of the English board.

Also according to the publication, the first deal of Besiktas was for the definitive purchase of the 25-year-old German, something completely unfeasible by Liverpool. Despite the downtime, the coaching staff trusts the archer, but thinks that the momentous exit can be beneficial in order to dispel the pressure suffered by the fans and the local press in recent months.

Last season, Karius gained the confidence of the Reds and the starting point, but never settled, failing in crucial moments of the main competitions disputed. His worst moment, though, came in the Champions League final when he failed in two goals from Real Madrid and had direct responsibility in the runners-up.
