Governor Encourages Corps Members To Impact Their Communities

Government organisations in Niger State, has been warned by Governor Abubakar Bello to desist from rejecting corps members posted to them in the state.

The statement was made during the closing ceremony of the 2018 Batch ‘B’ orientation course of corps members in Paiko Local Government Area of the state.

The governor was represented at the occasion by the state Commissioner for Water Resources, Alhaji Mamman Musa.

He urged employers of corps members to accept them into their organisations and provide decent accommodation for their one year national service.

We will not accept outright rejection of corps members by employers or organisations, you should ensure you accommodate all corps members posted to you and provide them with conducive environment,” he said.

The corps were urged to contribute positive contributions to their communities, he also used the opportunity to plead with them to accept their posting.

He pleaded with them to make positive impact in their place of primary assignment and leave behind projects that would add value to the people of the state.

Naija News reports that the 2018 Batch ‘B’ corp members, completed their orientation exercise today and have been posted to their places of primary assignment for service to their fatherland.
