Two Lose Studentship Over Possession Of Firearms

Two students of the departments of Chemistry and Biology in Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State, who were found in possession of illegal firearms have been expelled.

A statement from the College’s management by the its Public Relations Officer, Istifanus Kyakmut, said the students are Peter Daniel from Chemistry Department and Panret Nuhu from Biology Department.

Kyakmut said the students were recently convicted and sentenced to prison for illegal possession of locally-fabricated firearms by an Upper Area Court in Kasuwan Nama, Jos and “based on this development, Management of the College had applied the provision of the rules and regulations of the students’ handbook particularly Section 7.1(c), which states that students found with dangerous weapons shall be expelled.”
