Woman Arraigned For Injuring Husband’s Private Part

An Indian woman has been charged with attempted murder after she bit off the chuck of her husband’s penis who caught her with another man, Indian police have said today.

Police report that the 45-year-old Jayanthi had lied to her husband who is a farmer that she wants to watch a play in Tamil Nadu’s Vellore district on Monday, but snuck away to see her lover.

The husband then went in search of her when she didn’t return home after an hour.

“He found her in close contact with her lover. A scuffle followed during which the dhoti tunic that the man was wearing fell off. She bit off a part of his penis before running away with her lover,” Babu said.

The bleeding husband along with the severed part of the penis was rushed to hospital by the villagers who also informed police. The woman was arrested on Wednesday.

The victim is now recuperating in hospital, the police said.

The Times of India daily said Jayanthi had confessed to the attack and been sent to Vellore Central Prison for women.
