Youth Accuse Police Of Partisanship

The streets of Makurdi was taken over by some youths in the Benue State capital on Wednesday to protest against the alleged brutality by police in the state.

The police was accused of partisanship in the political crisis between Governor Samuel Ortom, Senator George Akume and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state

The large crowd, which were majorly youths took the streets of the state capital bearing banners condemning the political crisis in the state and declaring their support for the state governor.

President Muhammadu Buhari, was also urged to instruct the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to urgently withdraw the police from the Benue State House of Assembly Complex.
