Former Mauritius President Meets Chibok, Dapchi Girls’ Parents

Prof. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, Former President of Mauritius, met with some of parents of the yet to be released Chibok and Dapchi girls’ in Lagos.

The meeting which was convened by Mrs Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF), was held in closed door at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island.

The meeting which commenced around 7.15 p.m. had in attendance at least of the yet to be released girls.

Gurib-Fakim will be giving a keynote address at the 2018 Murtala Muhammed Foundation Women Forum on Thursday in Lagos.

The Nation reports that “Smart Economics: Empowering Women in a Changing World” is the theme of the forum.
