Just In: Buhari Requests N164 Billion From NASS For 2019 Elections

President Muhammadu Buhari has written the National Assembly, requesting for an approval of a supplementary budget/virement of N164 billion to fund the 2019 general and presidential elections.

The President said that the N164 billion requested as supplementary is to enable the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to commence preparation for the polls.

Fayose On Street Parade After Poll, Meets Ado Ekiti Monarch

The governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, in his first public appearance since last Saturday’s governorship election in the State, embarked on a road show in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, in which his supports hailed as he moved round the streets of the city.

The palace of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, was the place where the outgoing governor rounded up the street parade where was joined by scores of people in areas such as Okesa, Oja Bisi, Ojaba, Irona and Oke Oriomi.

I Will Tell You When I’m Ready To Leave APC, Saraki Tells Nigerians

Dr. Bukola Saraki, the President of the Nigerian Senate has, on Tuesday revealed that he would let Nigerians know when he is ready to leave the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Saraki made this known at the Ilorin International airport, in Kwara State, when asked by  journalists what he will do over pressure by some of his followers to lead them out of the APC, Saraki said they should not ‘worry’ or ‘push’ him over the matter.

House Of Representatives Set Up Committee To Investigate FG’s Spending Of Recovered Loots

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has said that Parliament will not continue to look on as confusion trails the recovery of looted funds and assets.

This, he said, at a public hearing by the House Joint Committee on Public Accounts and Finance on the need to ascertain the status of recovered Public funds and assets from 1999 to date.
