Fayose Saga:PDP Leaders, Stage Protest At National Assembly

Triggered by the Brutality unleashed by security officers on Governor Ayodele Fayose, the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus,led protesters to the national assembly.

Accompanied by top PDP leaders, Secondus said he led the delegation to submit a petition to the lawmakers on the alleged brutality of PDP members.

#EkitiDecides: Police Denies Using Force, Says Mistake Won’t Repeat Itself

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Operations, Mr. Habilal Joshak, has denied the claims that he ordered his men and officers to use teargas on the crowd.

“What I said was that those massing for the rally should be asked to leave because it is not good going by the mood of the state now to hold rally or street procession. I didn’t say they should use force.

Ekiti Elections: Why We Deployed 30,000 Police-APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has explained that the deployment of 30,000 police officers to Ekiti is a measure to ensure peace and order during the governorship election in the state on Saturday.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abudullahi, in Abuja on Thursday, it declaimed the accusation by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the policemen were deployed to harass its supporters to favour APC’s Governorship candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi.

R-APC Sues Oshiomhole, INEC, 52 Others OVer Leadership Tussle

The Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC) yesterday  sued the APC, its national chairman Adams Oshiomhole, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as well as 51 others.

Naija News learnt that R-APC Chairman, Mr Buba Galadima, and Kassim Afegbua file the suit on behalf of other members of the group on Thursday at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Abuja Light Rail, Our Project – PDP

The Federal government have been berated by the People Democratic Party (PDP) for refusing to give credit to the precious administration during the Thursday’s commissioning of the Abuja Light Rail Project by President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a Statement released in Abuja by Mr. Kola Ologbandiyan, the National Publicity Secretary to the PDP, expressed disappointment that Buhari commissioned the project without given credit to the party.
