Six Month Old Baby Abandoned In Anambra

An abandoned 6-months old baby has been reportedly found at Umukabia village, Neni, in Anaocha local government area of Anambra State.

According to The Nation the unfortunate child was discovered on Monday, at about 10.50pm in the community where the mother of the child reported abandoned her.

The Chairman, Vigilante group Neni branch, Mr Titus Ogudogwo reported brought the child, dark in complexion, to Neni Police division.

SP Haruna Mohammed, the police Public Relation Officer, who confirmed the development, efforts were being made by the Command to trace the biological parents of the child in order to reunite her with the family.

“On the 9/7/2018 at about 2250hrs, Chairman Vigilante group, Neni branch, one Mr Titus Ogudogwo brought to Neni division a baby girl of about Six months old reasonably suspected to have been abandoned at Umukabia village Neni,” he said.

The PRO, however admonished the member of the public to avail the police with useful information that would help the police locate the parents of the victim.
