Police Confirm 8 Dead In Flood In Niger State

The heavy downpour in Rafin-Gora village in Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State has claimed the lives of 8 persons, the state police command disclosed.

Alhaji Dibal Yakadi, the Police Commissioner in the state revealed to newsmen Minna on Monday that two bodies of the victims had been recovered.

According to him, the flood as a result of the heavy downpour washed away the body of the deceased.

He stated that the command is working to ensure that the bodies of the deceased are recovered.
