The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 2018/2019 cut off mark for Universities, Polytechnic and Colleges of Education has been released.

The 2018/19 JAMB cut-off marks were released at the 2018 policy meeting by JAMB, university Vice Chancellors, Polytechnic Rectors and Provosts of Colleges of Education, and other heads of tertiary institutions.

The policy meeting also approved that the 2018/2019 admission exercise will start on July 17 to October 15 (merit), second choice start October 17 and admission will end December 17.

Based on appeal and vote by the heads of tertiary institutions, the policy meeting approved that private universities should end their admission by February ending.

The 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examnation (UTME) was taken by 1, 653, 127mllion candidates. A breakdown showed that 1,558,686million (94.29%) candidates applied to universities, 24,524 (1, 48%) applicants picked colleges of education, 69,712 (4.22%) candidates applied to  and 205 (0.01%) applied to NID.

The cut off mark would be 140 for universities, 120 for polytechnics,  and then 100 for colleges of education.
