Gunmen kidnap Monarch’s wife, driver in Ondo

The traditional ruler Of Akokoland, the Alauga of Auga-Akoko , Oba Samuel Agunloye  has revealed that the abductors of his  wife contacted him through a phone call to demand a ransom  of 20 million naira.

It will be recalled that Naija News reported yesterday  that the traditional ruler’s wife Olukemi Agunloye was abducted on Sunday alongside her driver while travelling on Auga-Ise Akoko road in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The monarch, who broke the news, also urged the abductors to be merciful as negotiation was on going. Monarchs in Akoko have expressed concern about incessant kidnapping on Akunu-Auga-Ise-Isua axis. Residents of Auga town have been praying and fasting for a safe release of the Olori and the driver.

However the Spokesman of Ondo State Police Command, Femi Joseph said the police is not yet aware of the demand by the abductors but an investigation is still ongoing on the crime.
