President Buhari Reacts To Plateau State Killings
President Muhammadu Buhari has called for calmness over the regrettable killings of innocent people in Plateau State, describing the killings as “very painful and regrettable.”
Buhari expressing his concern via his Twitter handle; @MBuhari,yesterday night in Abuja, said his administration would not rest until the murderers and sponsors are brought to justice.
The grievous loss of lives & property arising from the killings in Plateau today is painful and regrettable. My deepest condolences to the affected communities. We will not rest until all murderers and criminal elements and their sponsors are incapacitated and brought to justice.

Furthermore, the presidency assured residents that men of the Nigerian Army and the Police are working hand-in-hand with the state Governor, Mr Simon Lalong to bring an end to the attacks.
The President appeals for calm, and assures that no efforts will be spared to bring the perpetrators to justice, and prevent a recurrence / reprisal attacks. The President and the entire Federal Government stand with the Government and people of Plateau at this sad time.

The Governor of Plateau State, Mr Simon Lalong, has also assured residents of the state that the government remains committed to their security and is doing everything possible to ensure that perpetrators of the recent attacks are brought to justice.

In a condolence message to the victims of Saturday’s attack, he described the incident as sad, adding that it makes one question how much value is placed on humanity.

While he admitted that the incident has led to so much tension in the state, he, however, called on residents to remain calm and cooperate with security operatives to ensure that there are no further attacks.
