Atiku Reacts To PDP’s Victory In the Just Concluded Local Government Elections Of Rivers State

Following the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party in all the 23 local government areas in the Rivers local government elections held on Saturday, 15th June,2018, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted.

Naija News recalls that the results was announced by the Chairman of Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, Justice Chukwunenye Uriri, who stated that the exercise was free and fair, and there was no report of violence in any local government during the election.

Atiku, a 2019 presidential aspirant, took to his twitter account to congratulate Governor Wike for a successful election, noting that the victory was an indication that the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) is the preferred choice of the people. “The results of Rivers LG polls show that slowly and surely, power is returning to the people”.
