Suswam, Jang, Kalu … Former Governors That Could Join Dariye, Nyame In Prison

In less than one month, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have secured two high profile convictions against two former State governors, one of them, a serving member of the Nigerian Senate.

Jolly Nyame and Joshua Dariye, former governors of Taraba and Plateau States respectively, were both handed a 14-year prison sentence each for embezzlement of state funds.

19 aspirants disqualified As APC Elect New Officers In Convention

The screening Appeal Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have been kicked out of the race for various offices at the forthcoming national convention.

The Committee revealed that it revealed 16 petitions against the disqualification of these candidate, adding that their cases would be reviewed strictly on merit.

APC Will Pick Buhari As Consensus Candidate – VON DG

Osita Okechukwu, the Director-General Voice of Nigeria (VON), has stated that the presumptive consensus candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC)during the 2019 general elections remains President Muhammadu Buhari.

The assured, with speaking to newsmen in Enugu that the June 23rd National Convention for the APC in Abuja would be successful.

Buhari’s Measures Yielding Results For Nigeria – Lai Mohammed

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, has disclosed that the innovative measures introduced by President Muhammadu Buhari-Led Administration is presently yielding result.

Minister listed investment in people, changing the business environment and building national infrastructure as some of the areas in which the Administration has made a great impact. He said this while speaking at the the 2018 ‘Africa Together Conference’ at the University of Cambridge in the UK on Saturday.

PoliticsNGR Poll: 70% vote against President Buhari’s 2019 Re-election Bid

A recent poll conducted by PoliticsNGR, an online publication on President Muhammadu Buhari re-election bid in 2019 has revealed that some Nigerians are not too keen on supporting the President’s second term bid.

In the poll which opened on Monday, May 21, 2018, and ended Sunday, June 3, 2018, respondents were asked, ‘Will you vote for President Buhari in 2019’ as voting was via www.politicsngr.com.

Boko-Haram: Buratai Flags Off Operation Last Hold In Borno

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai on Thursday 14 June 2018,  flagged off Operation LAST HOLD in Monguno Borno State to officially mark the commencement of the operation.

Buratai who was represented by the Chief of Training and Operations (Army) Major General David Ahmadu also  commission the office complex of the Headquarters Operation LAST HOLD at the Kinasara Barracks Monguno where he presented the Operation LAST HOLD flag to the Commander Major General Abbas Dikko.
