Woman Claimed To Have Dump Her Baby Out Of Desperation

A woman from Zimbabwe, identified as Vanessa Thabisile, has been sentenced to three years in jail for dumping her five month old baby outside her brother’s house and running away.

Thabisile dumped her baby on the doorstep of her brother, Tarven Ncube’s house last Wednesday and vanished into thin air, until the police found her having a good time at a sports club, four days later, reports iHarare.

She pleaded guilty to neglecting a child when she appeared before Western Commonage Magistrate, Ms Tancy Dube, where she told the court that she dumped the child out of desperation.

“My child fell sick and I did not know what to do with her,” she said. Dube convicted her and sentenced her to 36 months in prison.
