Nigeria vs Czech Republic: Can Super Eagles Perform Magic With Their Last Friendly?

The team announced numbers for their new squad on Monday after Coach Gernot Rohr confirmed the 23 players Super Eagles will feature at the 2018 World Cup.

Are Nigeria Super Eagles are ready to face Czech Republic World Cup squad for their final friendly match which will be played in Austria today?

Since the Super Eagles of Nigeria stated their World Cup preparation its only Argentina and Poland friendly matches that the have won. They won Argentina 4-2 in November and Poland 1-0 in March.

The major issue now is how the Nigeria Super Eagles will be able to perform magic in their last World Cup friendly.

The Super Eagles lost their friendly match against Serbia 2-0 in March, they also played goalless with DR Congo in May. June 2, Three Lions of England also defeated them by 2-1 for Wembley stadium.

But the team they would play against on Wednesday, Czech Republic team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Australia team and they are eager to flex their muscles against the Super Eagles during the friendly.


How the players are preparing

Captain Mikel Obi, William Troost Ekong and Victor Moses did not train on Monday evening because they played 90 minutes during the friendly with England.

Alex Iwobi did some work-out in the gym because he has small cramp from the last match.

Nigeria Football Federation tweet some pictures and videos from the Eagles training ground at Austria.

They arrived Austria on Monday for a continuation of their training before they travel go Russia next week.

They’ve not won in their last four games. This will be the last chance for the Eagles to test their strength as they get ready to play Croatia, Iceland and Argentina at the World Cup.
