Ogundare Bolade, an 18 years old boy has been arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court allegedly stealing N600,000 belonging to a young lady at a market.

Naija News understands that the Teenager, who pleaded not guilty to the allegation of theft, as his address was not given

Sgt. Samson Osobu, the Police Prosecutor, however, claimed that the accused committed the crime between February and March 2017.

According to him, Miss Akinwunmi Bola was the owner of the money allegedly stolen by Bolade.

The offence is contrary to section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ekiti State 2012.

The Prosecutor however wants the court to give him more time to study the case, he therefore asked the court for an adjournment.

Mr Simeon Ojo, the defence counsel prayed the court to grant the accused bails, with the promise that he would not jump bail.

Chief Magistrate Adesoji Adegboye, in his ruing granted bail to the accused in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

NAN reports that June 18 has been fixed for further hearing of the case.
