Balogun Ajikobi Of Ilorin Emirate Is Dead

The death has been reported of one of the high chiefs in the Ilorin Emirate, the Balogun Ajikobi, Alhaji Issa Jimoh who died on Wednesday at the age of 72 after a brief illness.

Jimoh, was until his death, the 11th Balogun Ajikobi of the Ilorin Emirate.

In its reaction to the death of the chief, the llorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (lEDPU) described his demise as a great loss to the Emirate.

The lEDPU, in a condolence message signed by its National President, Amb. Sheikh Usman AbdulAzeez in llorin on Thursday, said the passing away of the Balogun Ajikobi has created a large vacuum in the emirate traditional council.

The message described the late High Chief as loyal, articulate and visionary traditional chief who was always passionate about the development of the Ilorin Emirate and humanity at large.

AbdulAzeez, went ahead to commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, close associates of the late Balogun and immediate member’s of his family as well as the entire people of the llorin emirate, on the passing away of one of their sons.
