Group Empowers 110 Youths in Kwara State

A group known as ISIN SUMMIT GROUP on Saturday, 26th May, 2018 empowered over 110 youths who are indigenes of Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State. The convener and coordinator of the group, Barr. J.K. Oye Atoyebi in his speech said that the rising rate of unemployment among the youths, especially in Isin necessitated the need to empower the youths of the area, with a view of getting them engaged in positive and productive activities.

He also assured the people of Isin that many more programmes, especially the various national and international youths intervention programmes will be brought to the local government through cooperation and partnership with the various levels of government.

The empowerment which involved the disbursement of 50,000 each to 10 youths in each of the wards in Isin Local Government through the KWALIBS 2018 initiative saw youths who are into business and entrepreneurship benefit grant of N50,000 given without any form of collateral.

In his speech, the Executive Chairman of Isin Local Government, Prince Ladi Omole, represented by the Supervisory Councilor for Agriculture, commended the efforts of Barr. J.K.Oye Atoyebi, describing him as a passionate youth with deep seated interest in the development and empowerment of the youths. He assured the people of Isin that programmes which are people-oriented will continue to be implemented by his government, while noting that his administration had just acquired over 200 hectares of land for commercial farming which will commence in earnest.

Federal Government intervention programmes for owners of small and medium scale businesses by the State Coordinator, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

A Lecture on the Benefits of Having Voters Card and Tips on How to Prevent Electoral Malpractices.
