The Senate President, Bukola Saraki  has decided to intervene in the present crises between the federal government and the joint health workers.

Naija news  gathered that  the leadership of JOHESU  had earlier met with the senate president yesterday before organising a fresh meeting with   the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole  at the office of the Senate President today.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Primary Healthcare, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, and the Minister of Labour, Sen. Chris Ngige are also present at the meeting.

The meeting is holding at the office of the Senate President.

Negotiations between JOHESU and the federal government has been deadlocked, crippling activities in hospitals across the nation.

The striking workers are asking for parity in terms of salary with medical doctors, but the government through the Minister of Health said the demand is neither practicable nor acceptable, pleading that instead, salaries and wages of the health workers would be adjusted.
