FG Declares May 29 As Public Holiday




The 29th of May 2018, has been declared a public holiday by the Federal Government to commemorate the 2018 Democracy Day.

This was announced by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.) , in a statement in Abuja today by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. M. Umar.

The minister re the commitment of the Federal Government to entrench democracy in its polity, while congratulating Nigerians on the occasion.

Dambazau called on Nigerians to trust and support the government “in its commitment to building an indivisible, peaceful and greater nation based on the tenets of democracy.”

He further wished all Nigerians a Happy Democracy Day celebration.
