Just In: Court Grants N100m Bail To Ex-Governor Jonah Jang
Jonah Jang Granted N100m Bail
The high court sitting in Plateau, the capital of Jos, has granted bail to former governor of Plateau State, Senator Jonah Jang, standing trial before it.
The former governor was granted a N100m bail on Thursday morning by Justice Daniel Longji with two sureties in like sum, one of which must be a first class traditional ruler within the area.
He was also ordered to deposit his international passport.
His co-accused was also granted bail of N50m and two sureties, one of whom must be a civil servant on the minimum cadre of permanent secretary, and was also ordered to submit his international passport.
Naija News recalls that Jang was dragged before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly stealing and mismanaging billions of Naira of public funds while in office.
He has been in prison for about one week based on a court order.
