Boko Haram Suicide Bomber Kills Five Members Of Vigilante Group , Wound 5 Others in Borno
Unfortunately, Borno has been hit in a fresh attack by a Boko Haram suicide bomber who attacked on Tuesday at a checkpoint, killing five members of youth vigilance group and injuring five other persons.
This information was contained in a statement, the spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, North-East Zonal Office, Maiduguri, Abdulkadir Ibrahim made available to Naija News.
It reads, “Five members of the Civilian JTF were killed in a suicide bomb explosion in Madarari, outskirts of Konduga town in the Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State at a checkpoint before entering Konduga.
“Five people were injured in the incident which occurred when the suicide bomber detonated the concealed IED as he was being searched at a checkpoint,”
Tuesday’s attack comes as one of the worst for the Civilian JTF in Borno as they have always had an edge over the terrorist group.
Meanwhile, Naija News Had earlier reported that the The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai on Tuesday said that it was moving to push Boko Haram from its only remaining stronghold around the Lake Chad with the launch of Operation Last Hold which has target of August 31.
