Court Orders Man To Be Remanded In Prison For Murder
Man In Prison For Alleged Murder In Ota
A 44 year old man, Abiodun Ilesanmi, has been remanded in prison custody, on Monday for allegedly shooting a man to death by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun.
The suspect whose address was not revealed, is facing a two count of conspiracy and murder.
Seagent Chudu Gbesi, the prosecutor, while in court revealed that the accused and others that are at large, committed the offences on August 15, 2015, at Ogba-Ayo, Ijoko, Ota.
The prosecutor, alleged that the accused and his accomplices conspired and killed one Sunday Adefuoye, 25, with a gun. He said that the offences contravened Sections 316 and 324 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The plea of the accused was not taken by the court.
Mr G. E. Akan, the Senior Magistrate, ordered the remand of the accused in prison custody, pending the receipt of legal advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions on the matter.
