Army Repels Boko Haram Attack On Borno

A gunfire battle ensued between Boko Haram Insurgents and Military troops at Auno, a community in Kada local government area of Borno state, after the insurgents invaded the village with gun trucks and tricycles.

According to a source who spoke with The Cable, “The battle is ongoing as I speak to you. The attackers struck like 15 minutes ago,”

The militants were said to have given up when the military came at them in full force.

The military authorities are yet to say anything concerning the recent attack.

Recall also that troops of 233 Battalion deployed in operation LAFIYA DOLE on 27 April 2018, arrested four Boko Haram terrorists with their accomplice in Yobe state

Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, Director Army Public Relations,said the four suspects and their accomplice are from Borno State.

The four members of the sect. are Chari Masaa – 40years, Gonbuzu Abar – 30years, Titta Masawa– 20 years, and Gambo Idrisa – 30 years respectively.

Items recovered from the gang include four techno phones and N150,000.00 cash.
